OVERWHELMED

Today's reading: Psalm 122-124

"If the Lord had not been on our side--when people rose up against us, they would have swallowed us alive because of their burning anger against us. The waters would have engulfed us; a torrent would have overwhelmed us. Yes, the raging waters of their fury would have overwhelmed our very lives." Psalm 124:1-5 NLT

You and I have a choice each and every day.

Sometimes several times a day.

We can choose to be overwhelmed by circumstances, current events and civil unrest outside of our control.

Or...

We can choose to be overwhelmed by God.

By His very presence.

By His love for us.

By His safeguarding hand of protection upon our lives.

By His mercy. Oh, how His mercy overwhelms!
