A CENTURION'S FAITH
Today's reading: Matthew 8-10
"Then Jesus said to the centurion, Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would. And his servant was healed at that moment." Matthew 8:13 NIV
I've heard people say that want the faith of Abraham.
The faith of Job.
The faith of Daniel.
The faith of Paul.
I've even heard folks admire the faith of Mary, the Samaritan woman and Rahab.
But this morning, this dark early morning--I want the centurion's faith.
The kind of faith that believes--and it happens.
The kind of faith that is in step with God's will.
The kind of faith that moved this soldier to seek Jesus out, approach Him with a need and believe that the need was met because it now was nestled in His caring hands.
That's the faith I want!
