BEING THAT ONE
Today's reading: 1 Chronicles 1-2

"Achan son of Carmi, one of Zerah's descendants, brought disaster on Israel by taking plunder that had been set apart for the Lord." 1 Chronicles 2:7 NLT

How would you like to be listed, among countless generations, amidst page after page of begats, as the 'one' who brought disaster on your family and on your people?

To be known for that?

To have that legacy?

To have that written about you for centuries-later readers to uncover as they read the Bible?

It took Achan one poor choice.

Just one.

And the same choice, staring him in the face, could have turned out so completely different had he chosen what was right over what was wrong.

We, very easily, can be 'that one', by the choices we make today.

The one who sets our family on the path towards God...

The one who stands up for someone who cannot stand for themselves...

The one who accepts a key to unlock chains of an addiction...

The one who turns their life over to the Lord for Him to do a great work...

Be the one, the good one, today.
