SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO
Today's reading: Judges 9-10

"The Lord replied, Did I not rescue you from the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines, the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites? When they oppressed you, you cried out to me, and I rescued you. Yet you have abandoned me and served other gods. So I will not rescue you anymore. Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen! Let them rescue you in your hour of distress!" Judges 10:11-14 NLT

I don't know what you have put before God, because we all have put something before Him at some time or another, but can it help you now?

There is no god you can carry around in your pocket to rub for good luck.

There is no special cheer or chant you can repeat that will change circumstances.

There is no diploma, bank statement or wad of cash you can wave over a situation to make it disappear.

There is nothing you can do, no matter how strong, smart, talented or smooth you are, that will compare with what God can do.

So, friends, let's push aside everything else and grab hold of God...we need Him, oh, we need Him!
