BRING GOD INTO YOUR CAMP
Today's reading: 1 Samuel 4-7

"So they sent the men to Shiloh to bring back the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim. Hophni and Phineas, he sons of Eli, helped carry the Ark of God to where the battle was being fought. When the Israelites saw the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord coming into camp, their shout of joy was so loud that it made the ground shake!
What's going on? the Philistines asked. What's all the shouting about in the Hebrew camp? When they were told it was because the Ark of the Lord had arrived, they panicked. The gods have come into their camp! they cried. This is a disaster! We have never had to face anything like this before!" 1 Samuel 4:4-7 NLT

Read that short portion of Scripture again.

Now read it out loud.

Okay, now that you have read it once and have heard it with your own ears, I'll ask you an important question?

Have you brought God into your fight?

It says it takes effort to bring Him into it. Prayer. Turning from your sin. Humbling yourself before Him.

It says His presence will bring joy. Before the battle is over. Before victory is gained. Before there are any changes in your situation.

It says bringing God into the battle will strike fear in the heart of your enemy. Panic. Defeat. Dread.

Friend, we have to bring God into our camp!

I don't know about you, but I need Him. I need His joy. I need to hear my enemy shaking in his shoes.
