DESTITUTE
Today's reading: 2 Kings 8:16-9:37, Acts 7:37-53, Psalm 102:8-17
"He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. He will not reject their please." Psalm 102:17
This single verse offered me enough hope to rise and shine and go forth this morning!
To trust Him with the impending requests.
To believe He is going to work things out.
To know, without that lingering doubt, that He has heard me.
Why?
Because I am the destitute.
I am the poor in spirit.
I am the gal who doesn't have any right to any single one of His blessings.
I am the child of God who has few, if any, resources when compared to His.
I am the one who has exhausted every single ounce of my own abilities.
I am the weak link in this relationship of our, God and I.
So to get up this morning with things on my mind and read specifically in his Word that He hears my poor, pitiful attempts at prayer--thrills the fear right out of me!
I pray it does the same for you, too!
