CHECKING YOUR LIGHT
Today's reading: Deuteronomy  31:1-32:22, Luke 11:24-36, Psalm 68:28-35

"Make sure that the light you think you have is not really darkness." Luke 11:35 NLT

Think about the compliments you've received lately.

Go ahead, consider them.

Were the kind words spoken of you a reflection of God in you, or the efforts you've made on your own?

Are you busy being busy or are you busy going about your Father's business?

Are you kind and compassionate to get ahead or are you full of goodness because you want to be like your Abba Father?

Are you immersed in 'church things' or are you bathed in having spent time with God?

Are folks seeing a lot of your efforts or a lot of God's?

Check the light you are shining. Make sure it's God shining through you and not just yourself, your efforts, your attempts and your busy-ness.
