WATCHMAN
Today's reading: Isaiah 18-21

"Meanwhile, the Lord said to me, Put a watchman on the city wall to shout out what he sees." Isaiah 21:6 NLT

Watchman-a person who keeps vigil; one who is attentive; a guard; a close observer.

Dear Christian Friend,

I have a request of you.

It's a favor, really.

Something I need you to do for me.

Would you be a watchman for me?

Someone who observes my life, from whatever spot God has placed you in it.

Someone who checks and double-checks me.

Someone who is willing and available to call me on the carpet when my walk is less than godly, when my sinful nature rises up in my actions and attitude.

Someone who will warn me lovingly when my 'heart walls' are about to be invaded by the enemy.

It's a favor I cannot ask of my unbelieving friends.

They don't hold me to the same standards you will as fellow believers.

Be a watchman for me.
