BROKEN
Today's reading: Psalm 50-53

"The sacrifice you want is a broken spirit. A broken and repentant heart, O God, you will not despise." Psalm 51:17 NLT

Broken-violently separated into parts; subdued completely; reduced in rank.

I'm reading here that God doesn't want the 'put-together' me.

He doesn't want the me that has been taped back into place, plastered back together, mended to the best of my abilities.

He wants me in pieces.

Exposed.

All the parts visible, ready for Him to re-assemble.

He desires that I know just where I stand in comparison to Him, which is not standing at all.

I don't have to have it all together, for He knows how I might do it is not the way He would!
