KIND
Today's reading: Ruth 1-4
"Ruth fell at his feet and thanked him warmly, Why are you being so kind to me? she asked, I am only a foreigner." Ruth 2:10 NLT
Kind-of a sympathetic or helpful nature; of a forbearing nature; arising from or characterized by sympathy or patience.
Lord,
I've felt just like Ruth felt when kneeling in your presence.
I question, 'Why?'
Why would You be so kind to me?
Why would You give me all these blessings?
Why would You choose to offer me salvation?
Why would You have ever sent Your Son to die in my place?
I don't get it.
I am a foreigner...Your ways are so different than my own. Your holiness constantly reminds me of what a completely different world You and I come from. Your characteristics are so above and beyond my own that there are no similarities between us.
And still You shower me with Your kindness.
Thank You. I don't understand why You would do it, but thank You.
