AFFORD
Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 7-9

"For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford but far more. And they did it of their own free will." 2 Corinthians 8:3 NLT

Afford-to manage or bear without serious detriment; to be able to bear the cost of.

Convicted!

I don't know about you, but there are days when I feel as if I couldn't give more--whether it be of my time, my energies or my funds.

Then there are days when I don't feel as if I've given enough.

I don't feel as if I have given from the abundance He has given me.

I don't feel as if I have given in accordance to the blessings showered into my life.

Giving what I think I can afford in comparison to giving what God asks of me may be spot on--or miles apart.

I want to be more open to His leading.

I want to hear Him more clearly.

I want to give more because He has given me so much!
