BELOVED
Today's reading: Mark 1-3

"And a voice came from heaven saying, You are my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with you." Mark 1:11 NLT

Beloved-dearly loved; dear to the heart; esteemed; favorite; worthy of love.

I'm not surprised God speaks the word 'beloved' when He speaks to Jesus.

Jesus--the perfect One, the sacrificial Lamb, the Redeemer, the Savior of the world, the Son of the Most High God, the bright and morning Star, the Prince of Peace, one of the triplets of the Trinity.

What surprises me is that this same term, 'beloved', He speaks over me!

He says in Scripture that I am also His dearly loved.

That I am dear to His heart.

That because of His love for me, I am esteemed.

One of His favorites.

Worthy.

I am God's beloved!
