ROAR OF PRAISE
Today's reading: 1 Kings 5-9
"The stones used in the construction of the Temple were prefinished at the quarry, so the entire structure was built without the sound of hammer, ax or any other iron tool at the building site." 1 Kings 6:7 NLT
Imagine a building site with no sounds of hammering or sawing.
Imagine no power tools.
Imagine to pounding, no yelling of measurements, no foremen shouting instructions.
Imagine, if you will, the roar of silence overtaking this jobsite.
The immensity of the job at hand.
The overwhelming sense of awe at the task each and every worker was called to participate in.
The humility that overtakes a heart when it acknowledges that it is a part of a very large gesture for the Lord.
I would guess the sound was deafening...the sound of praise!
