JUST A SMILE
Today's reading: Job 29-30
"When they were discouraged, I smiled at them. My look of approval was precious to them." Job 29:24 NLT
You'll go about your day attending meetings, waiting on customers, standing in lines, carrying on conversations.
You'll notice a few of 'them'.
They'll probably be behind the scenes, servile in nature, quieter and quite possibly unnoticed.
They are the ones needing a smile.
Not necessarily a Bible verse.
Or a sermon.
Or a condescending look.
Or a scolding.
Or a moral assessment of their circumstances.
Or a quick determination of their past/present/future based upon what they're wearing or doing.
Or a quick once over with your rolled eyes.
They need a smile--a from the heart, because you know they, like you, are created in the image of your God, smile.
It will remind them that they are worth the effort. That they are better than what the enemy is trying to tell them they are. That they are someone.
Just a smile.
A simple smile.
