DON'T PUSH IT
Today's reading: Nahum
"The Lord is slow to get angry,.." Nahum 1:3 NLT
It would be simple if we could believe just the first part of this verse...
That God has a long fuse.
That He is okay with us flittering around sin.
That He is abundantly patient.
That He is ever so kind.
But the next part of the verse, reminds us of why He is God.
"...his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm." Nahum 1:3 NLT
He cannot allow our disobedience to go on.
He cannot turn His back and attempt to ignore our sins.
He has to dole out justice--which means for the victim and for the criminal.
