YOUNG AND OLD
Today's reading: Psalm 87-89
"I will sing of the tender mercies of the Lord forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness." Psalm 89:1 NLT
It's easy for me to make a fool of myself talking about Jesus to kids.
I can use crazy voices, make wild hand gestures, share stories about myself that leave them giggling or with those deep-down belly laughs.
I can explain Bible accounts to them in ways they understand, and at times leave them wanting to know more.
I can sing loud. I can encourage. I can cheer. I can direct most conversations with kids around to Jesus.
But with grown-ups...I tend to clam up.
I tend to think they don't have the time, the interest or the desire to get what I get about God in the simple terms with which I get Him.
Shame on me!
Starting today, young and old will hear about Your faithfulness, God, from me.
