THE LORD'S SUPPER
Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 11-12

"...Do this in remembrance of me." 1 Corinthians 11:24 NLT

When I read the account of the first communion, my mind goes a thousand places...

-To the first one I took as a new believer.

-The first one I took with my husband standing beside me.

-The first one my son took part in.

-The first one in our new church building.

-To the one I took in the garden, with an empty tomb only yards away.

But this morning, as I read it again, it speaks to my heart.

It's called the Lord's Supper.

The Lord's, not mine.

When I partake in it, it should be all about Him. My focus, my thoughts, my heart.

My mind should be centering on Him, not on other communions I have been a part of, where they were or what season of life I was in.

It should be all about Him, in remembrance of Him.
