Today`s reading: Psalm 9-11

``I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, Fly to the mountains for safety?`` Psalm 11:1 NLT

This is one of David`s psalms. One written by him. One written from the experiences of his heart.

David knew fear. He knew what it was like to be running for his life. He knew the emotions involved with hiding out from the enemy and wondering if this day were his last.

And still he says, in a complete sentence, one ending with a period...

I trust in the Lord for protection.

Maybe you are worried about a test result, a biopsy, a call back from the doctor.

Maybe your dollars are stretched farther than possible and another bill arrived in the mailbox.

Maybe all you`ve believed to be true has been up-ended and faith broken into little pieces.

Trust in the Lord for protection.

Allow Him to protect your mind, your heart, your home, your life.

Say it out loud, I trust in the Lord for protection.

Say it loudly, I trust in the Lord for protection.

Shout it as loud as you can, I trust in the Lord for protection.

Say it to yourself as many times a day as you need to, I trust in the Lord for protection.

I trust in the Lord for protection...period.
