POLITICALLY INCORRECT
Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 11-15

"From all over Israel, those who sincerely wanted to worship the Lord, the God of Israel, followed the Levites to Jerusalem." 2 Chronicles 11:16 NLT

In the midst of the Biblical civil war...

When it was politically incorrect...

Despite the promise of safe travels...

The true believers went to worship.

The ones who sincerely wanted to worship the Lord.

Not the ones who attended church to increase their Rolodex of business contacts.

Or the ones who sat in the pew each Sunday to continue a family tradition.

Or the ones who wanted good copy for their obituary when they passed.

Or the ones who thought it might bring them better social standing if they showed up each Sunday.

These were the ones who sincerely wanted to worship the Lord.  

Oh, that I might have been one of them that packed up and traveled to Jerusalem. That my heart would have overruled my head. That the desire to worship my Lord was so intense that I determined nothing would stand in my way.

I want to be one of the ones who sincerely wanted to worship the Lord.
