HE CAME

The Baby came for us.

Those of us whose plans have gone awry.

Those of us whose life has taken turn after turn for the worst.

Those of us hurting over loved ones in sin.

Those of us who have received diagnoses that scare.

Those of us approaching the holiday with an empty spot in our lives and hearts.

Those of us whose knees are calloused from prayer.

Those of us who call out in emergencies--and are still heard.

The Baby came for us.
