Today's reading:  1 Chronicles 25-29

Gatekeepers.

Sure, I've read about them, but the idea behind them has never jumped off the page at me like it has this morning.

Keeping watch over the gates...

...of our homes?

...of our churches?

...of our homes?

A good part of 1 Chronicles 26 gives information about the gatekeepers assigned to the Temple.  It says they were selected.  It says they were regardless of  age or training.  It says the ones chosen were capable.

What are you guarding?

What is viewed on your television set?  What attitude you're allowing yourself to bring into your worship services?  What thoughts you are taking captive for Christ?

The 'gates' you have been selected to guard are important--and God finds you capable of doing it.
