GRAMMAR LESSON
Today's reading: John 7-9
"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32 NLT
A very common verse.
An oft quoted verse.
A simple verse packed with potential and promise!
Take the words 'will set you free', for example...
From the Greek word, eleutherosei meaning free, freedom, freed
It's actual meaning is only used once in the Bible, in this verse.
It's of the future indicative tense.
It's a verb, so there's action leading up to it, inside it and coming from it.
Isn't that what freedom, especially the kind God's Word offers us, means?
But we have to know it, the Truth that is, and allow it to work inside our hearts.
Aaaah, freedom!
