DESPITE IT ALL
Today's reading: 1 Kings 14-18
"Although the pagan shrines were not completely removed, Asa remained faithful to the Lord throughout his life." 1 Kings 15:14 NLT
A man named Asa.
Living in a country full of sin.
Having been given a familial lineage that spoke of idol worshippers and pagan parenting.
And yet it says in God's Word that he chose to remain faithful to the Lord.
So, can't we?
Despite the immorality surrounding us?
Regardless of what Hollywood sets as normal or entertaining?
No matter the social norms or what's requested in the name of tolerance?
In spite of how we've been raised, how our parents did it or what we're just learning?
Can't we choose to do the same?
Despite all that's around us, running through our veins or what is easier, can't we choose to live for God?
