LUMP OF CLAY
Today's reading: Jeremiah 17-21
"But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so the potter squashed the jar into a lump of clay and started again." Jeremiah 18:4 NLT
Today is one of those days when I feel like the squashed lump of clay.
God has found in me a defect. An air-pocket of pride. A flaw in the character of my very being.
Most couldn't see the problem. Most wouldn't think it that important. Most have the same issue.
But He sees it as a weak spot in the foundation of who He wants me to be. Something that left unattended could ruin the integrity of the masterpiece He's attempting to make me into.
So I'll spend more time on the Potter's wheel.
I'll feel squashed and lumpy for a day or so, or a week or so, or a month or so--however long it takes for Him to make the corrections!
