KNOWING WHAT IN NEED
Today's reading:  Matthew 3-4

"But Jesus told him, No!  The Scriptures say,.."  Matthew 4:4 NLT

Jesus was in the wilderness being tempted by satan.

Satan had a pocketful of tricks.  He had studied the Word and twisted it to suit his needs.  He wanted to cause Jesus to slip up and stumble.

But Jesus knew what his Father had written, what He meant and held those instructions in His heart.

Shouldn't we do the same?

Not just for when we are in the wilderness.  But for at home.  For the workplace.  For inside the walls of the church.

We need to know what Scripture says.  We need to focus our thoughts, our hearts and our minds on studying the Bible.

How else will we succeed?
