PRAYING FOR TODAY
Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 13-14
I'd like to invite you to my church.
Oh, it might be a drive for some of you. Our music might be a little too upbeat for others. Our preacher could be a little louder than what you're used to. The Holy Spirit's presence might just surprise the lot of you.
But consider yourself invited.
Invited into a group of misfits, imperfect folks and men and women who once were lost, but now are found--and very excited about it! People who can laugh. Families who are dysfunctional. Christians who are blessed and spilling over into the lives of those around them.
Come to my church today, God will be there!
How do I know God will be in our midst today? Because I'm asking Him. And I am sure I am not the only one doing so.
If you want the same things for your church, pray about it using a verse from today's Scripture text as a prayer starter...
"As they listen, their secret thoughts will be laid bare, and they will fall down on their knees and worship God, declaring, God really is here among you." 1 Corinthians 14:25 NLT
