RELIGIOUS PEOPLE
Today's reading:  2 Timothy 3-4

"They will act as if they are religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly.  You must stay away from people like that."  2 Timothy 3:5 NLT

We all know religious people.  People whose lives revolve around and are focused on one thing and one thing only.

Maybe it's sports.

Shopping.

Their family.

Their hobbies.

Their knowledge of the Scripture.

Whoa, you say!

I hate to break it to you, but in your pew, maybe in your very own spot on your pew, may be a person who is more wrapped up in the religion of Christianity than in the Christ of Christianity.

If what you know about Christ is not changing your life, then you have more head knowledge than you do heart knowledge.

You cannot know Christ, deeply and in intimately, without being a different person.

It's the difference between having religion and having a relationship.
