HOLY-DAYS
Today's reading: Esther 6-10
There are several new holidays expected to be celebrated in the year 2012. National Sweet Potato Day, Worldwide Pizza Day, National Left-Handers Day and National Red nail Polish Day, to name a few.
Anything, well practically anything, can be chosen to be commemorated on a given day, with feasting, gifts and gatherings.
This upcoming year, I'm determining in my heart and mind to begin celebrating special days hand-crafted by God...
"These days would be remembered and kept from generation to generation and celebrated by every family throughout the provinces and cities of the empire. These days would never cease to be celebrated among the Jews, nor would the memory of what happened ever die out among their descendants." Esther 9:28 NLT
I'm going to use my planner to denote special prayers answered, God-given blessings given and celebratory happenings in His kingdom and in my heart! I'm going to put them down in red, transfer them to next year's planner and celebrate all He's done.
I'm expecting a planner 'full of red' in 2012! I believe I'm going to see some amazing things with His fingerprints all over them. I am well aware that He gives me so much to celebrate--I'm beginning to set aside the holy-days just for Him!
