ASSUMPTIONS
Today’s reading: 1 Samuel 1-5

"As she was praying to the Lord, Eli watched her. Seeing her lips moving but hearing no sound, he thought she had been drinking. Must you come here drunk? he demanded. Throw away your wine!" 1 Samuel 1:12-14 NLT

Careful, very careful, fellow believer as to the assumptions we make about those using the altar.

Don’t presume to know. Don’t judge. Don’t try to preside as Holy Ghost over the actions of your brothers and sisters in Christ.

As a matter of fact, here's a good rule of thumb--the farther we are from the altar ourselves, the more assumptions we’ll make!

So, move a little closer to the feet of Jesus.
