CATCH-Y THINGS
Today's reading: Leviticus 13-15

A quick perusal of this section of Leviticus reveals God's instructions on skin diseases, rashes and dealing with mildew. Not what I was really hoping to be confronted with first thing this morning, but He felt I needed to be there, so I'll assume He had something for me to uncover and mine out.

What I've dug out is the simple fact that He wants, needs, us to be extremely careful around catch-y things. He does not want us infected by contagious things. He wants us healthy, wholesome and ready to do His will.

Catch-y things? Sin, is one. Stinky attitudes is another. Critical speech. Lowered standards. Lackadaisical and uncaring disregard towards others--all are contagious things. All are 'diseases' that separate us from a communion with our Father.
