SOMETHING NEW
Today's reading: Luke 5-6

It came in the mail yesterday. It was in the bottom of the box. I opened everything else first, then came it's turn. To be quite honest, I didn't know what it was at first...but being the smart gal I am, I figured it out. I didn't order it. It came 'free' with my purchase. Now, well now, I've got figure out how to use it...an eyelash curler.

I'm pretty sure no one's ever died from its mis-use or maimed themselves attempting their first 'curling', but the thing scares me to death--and I'm not afraid of anything, except snakes. I'm not even sure my eyelashes are long enough for the thing to work. This thing is a mystery to me. But I'll give it a try. Something new is always a challenge, wouldn't you agree?

Like today's thoughts...

"...First get rid of the log from your own eye, then perhaps you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye." Luke 6:42

Taking care of my own faults, mistakes, shortcoming, sins, first? That's something new. That's, well, not the route I'm accumstomed to taking. That's as scary as my new eyelash curler!

Straightening, strengthening, prioritizing and commiting (wholeheartedly, not half-heartedly) to my personal relationship with Christ before pushing others to do the same? Looking in to my 'issues' before condemning others of theirs?

Well, that makes two 'new' things I'm going to start attempting as of today--care to join me?
