PRESSING IN

Today's reading: Luke 5-6

"One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God." Luke 5:1 NLT

I'm imagining what my church would be like if crowds pressed in to listen to the Word of God spoken.

-Folks getting their early just to make sure they had a seat.

-Families canceling all other plans just to hear a sermon from the Bible.

-Standing room only.

-A full house.

Like the scene at a concert...or a ballpark...or a Black Friday sale.

Do we press in to hear God's Word?

-In our daily schedules, making sure we're spending time in the Bible?

-In our weekly plans, putting Him first?

-In our hearts, desiring to hear from God above all else?
