BEING NOTICED

Today's reading: Genesis 36-39

"The Lord was with Joseph and blessed him greatly as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did." Genesis 39:2-3 NLT

What made Potiphar 'notice' Joseph's relationship with the Lord?

I don't think it was a Christian tshirt...

Or his cross necklace...

Or his well-marked and well-worn Bible...

Or the 'Come to First Baptist Church of Egypt with me this Sunday' sign in Joseph's yard...

Something made Potiphar notice.

Something made Potiphar aware of the fact that Someone had given favor to this young slave boy.

Something made Potiphar notice.

We don't know what it was. 

We aren't told specifically.

We're simply told there was something different about this child of the Most High God.

My prayer is that this noticeable trait, whatever it might be, will be found in each and every one of us.

That the Spirit of God be evident in our smiles...

In our deeds...

In our reactions...

In our hope...

In our lives...
