GO TO GOD
Today's reading: Job 5-6
"My advice for you is this: Go to God and present your case to him." Job 5:8 NLT
Job's friends aren't well know for good advice.
As a matter of fact, Job would have done better off mentally, emotionally and spiritually had his friends kept the majority of their words to themselves.
But Eliphaz, the first of the friends to speak, had a very good idea early on in his monologue...
Go to God.
Had he stopped there, his reviews might have been more gleaming.
Go to God.
That's the best advice.
That's timeless advice.
That's good advice--in every situation.
When you don't like what's going on--Go to God.
When you don't understand what's going on --Go to God.
When you don't see anything going on--Go to God.
When you are mad--Go to God.
When you are sad--Go to God.
When you are happy--Go to God.
When you are hurting--Go to God.
When you don't really know how you feel, when you can't put a pin on it--Go to God.
When you think what you have to say is too raw, too messy, too real and too unedited to take to the Lord--Go to God!
Try it today--in each and every situation you find yourself in, Go to God.
