ALL WILL BE WELL WITH YOU
Today's reading: Jeremiah 12-16
"The Lord replied, All will be well with you, Jeremiah. Your enemies will ask you to plead on their behalf in times of trouble and distress." Jeremiah 15:11 NLT
Jeremiah had the tough job of proclaiming God's judgement on the nation of Israel because they had chosen other gods.
Jeremiah had begged them. He had pleaded with them. He had reminded them of God's faithfulness. He had spent many hours on his knees on behalf of his country and countrymen.
To no avail.
They wouldn't listen.
They wouldn't unclench their fists from the idols they had fashioned.
Jeremiah tried. Oh, how he tried.
God's reward to Jeremiah?
For his determination...
For his boldness...
For his obedience...
For his bravery...
For his faithfulness...
God was Jeremiah's reward.
God's favor would be his pension plan.
God's hand of protection would remain upon him--no matter what anyone else did.
Christian friend, I pray the same be said of us!
Oh, that God will find us faithful in all He asks of us...
That He will see us as obedient servants...
That He will have plenty to reward us for in our efforts to share His gospel message...
That He will see us standing, no matter what all those around us are bowing to...
