WORD SEEDS
Today's reading: Proverbs 13
"Good people enjoy the positive results of their words, but those who are treacherous crave violence." Proverbs 13:2 NLT
What harvest will you reap from the 'word seeds' you are planting today?
Complimentary? Encouraging? Edifying? Cheering? Strengthening? Correcting? Instructing? Loving?
Critical? Caustic? Dismissive? Disrespectful? Gossip-filled? Hateful? Condemning? Judgemental?
Every second someone steps out into eternity having just said something they will never get to apologize for, express regret over or ask forgiveness for saying.
Millions of people are impacted in adulthood by something spoken to them in childhood.
Dreams are sparked, or doused, by the words spoken by someone we admire, cherish or love.
We are incapable of knowing the scope of impact our words have on those around us. I believe it behooves us to harness the power of our conversations with love and God's guidance as we plant these 'word seeds' into the hearts of those we love.
