STANDING AROUND
Today's reading: Genesis 40-43
"When Jacob heard that there was grain available in Egypt, he said to his sons, Why are you standing around looking at one another? I have heard there is grain in Egypt. Go down and buy some for us before we all starve to death." Genesis 42:1-2 NLT
In this account Jacob was sending his sons out to find food to save the entire family. They were in the midst of a famine. A lack of provisions. Desperation.
Today, well, today we find ourselves in some what of the same dilemna: We have plenty, but the world is hungry.
They are needing a Savior.
They are thirsty for Living Water.
They hunger for the Bread of Life.
They desire a Friend.
They wander lacking a Shepherd.
They are comfortless seeking a Comforter.
We have what the world needs--Jesus.
Why are we standing around doing nothing? Not sharing Him? Keeping the Answer to ourselves?
