THE KID IN ME

Today's reading: Genesis 8-11

"I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my permanent promise to you and to all the earth." Genesis 9:13 NLT

The kid in me still pauses long enough to look for a rainbow after a cloudburst.

I scan the sky.

I look across our prairie.

I stop to see if God has chosen to remind me of His promise.

I'm not so worried about flooding.

But my heart truly melts when I see His bow painted across the sky.

He doesn't have to do it.

None of us completely grasp how it happens.

And it's not every rainshower.

But when the 'Roy G. Biv' colors appear in the sky, the kid in me jumps for joy because our God has remembered us once again!
