FROM ONE LITTLE SHEEP
Today's reading: Luke 15-16
"If you had one hundred sheep, and one of them strayed away and was lost in the wilderness, wouldn't you leave the ninety-nine others to go and search for the lost one until you found it?" Luke 15:4 NLT
I don't know about you, but this morning the immensity of this verse weighs heavily on my heart.
You see, I was a lost little sheep.
One that had wandered.
One that had been 'in the fold' but sought to find greener grass elsewhere.
So I know what it means to be sought after, to be tracked down, to be wooed back to the fold of my Shepherd.
And, if being a little lost lamb wasn't enough, I am the parent of one, too.
This same Savior, in His loving and kind ways, I believe will seek out that little lost lamb, too.
The lamb cannot wander outside of God's view, beyond the borders which God cannot cross or past the point of return to the Shepherd.
Oh, the love our Shepherd has for us!
