PRAISE HIM
Today's reading: Psalm 149-150
"Praise him with a blast of the trumpet; praise him with the lyre and harp!" Psalm 150:3 NLT
No trumpets or lyres here on our small farm, but I can praise Him!
I can praise Him by humming along to the song playing on my radio.
I can praise Him with the tap of keys as I type out a devotion.
I can praise Him with the honk of my car horn and a wave at my neighbor.
I can praise Him in the scratching of my pen on a notecard to a friend.
I can praise Him with the signal that an encouraging text message has been sent to one of my brothers or sisters in Christ.
I can praise Him with the sound of a turning page in my Bible during my time in His presence.
I can praise Him with kindness in my voice as I greet a co-worker.
I can praise Him with the sobs of a broken heart over a still not answered prayer request.
I can praise Him in the silence...as I listen for Him...as I expect to hear Him speak...as I wait for Him to remind me of His promises to me.
No, I don't need a trumpet or a lyre to praise Him!
