BE CAREFUL

Today's reading: Hebrews 1-4

"Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God." Hebrews 3:12 NLT

Do you remember the children's song...

Oh, be careful little eyes what you see...

Oh, be careful little feet where you go...

Oh, be careful little ears what you hear...

The song was elementary, but the message was deep. 

Before we can pray for anyone, ask God's conviction on any unsaved friends, seek His will in any decision or choice we're called upon to make--we have to make sure our hearts are right.

No one else's but our own.

What sins are we hiding?

What doubt is taking root in our hearts?

Where in our lives are we veering away from God's path, from God's will, from God's presence?
