CHRISTMAS CONTINUES
Today's reading:  Matthew 1

"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means God with us."  Matthew 1:23 NLT

The trees have lost their sparkle.  The ribbons, wrapping paper and boxes have been collected and now sit by the curb.  The feasts have become leftovers boxed up in the fridge.  The shopping lanes have become desolate, unless they have been changed to return counters.  The cantatas have been sung.  The yule logs have been burned to ash.  The little ones who arose so early yesterday morning are sleeping in a little today.  The elves have been put to rest.  

But, God is with us.

That is the hope of the season, the joy of the world, the love that is eternal, the peace that passes all understanding, the real meaning of the season.

For some of us, those with the Baby in our hearts, Christmas continues!
