ATTITUDE
Today's reading:  1 Peter 4-5

"So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too.  For if you are willing to suffer for Christ, you have decided to stop sinning."  1 Peter 4:1 NLT

Attitude.

It's a common discussion topic between our 14 year-old and myself...and the Lord and I.

You see, even as a Christian--one who has accepted God's gift of salvation and knows my eternity will be with Him--my attitude, at times, stinks.

But to take on His attitude?  The one He had when He died on the cross for me?  The attitude of Christ?

Impossible?  Or is it?

It's a matter of putting me aside.  It's about weighing things against how I feel and how He wants me to behave.  It's about love from me because He loves me so very much.  It's about sucking it up and going on in a way that's pleasing to Him--mind and heart, included.

I can do it.  I will try to do it.
