MY PURPOSE
Today's reading: Psalm 57-59
"I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me." Psalm 57:2 NLT
The dictionary tells me my 'purpose' is the reason why I am who I was created to be, why I do what I am supposed to do and why I am used in the way I was intended to be used.
I needed that reassurance. I needed that reminder. I needed to have my eyes (my heart and head, too) refocused on that truth--that I have a purpose in God's plan for me.
You see, on my own I screw up. Royally.
On my own, I go in the wrong direction.
Left to myself, I see only what I want to see, and only see what's in front of me when I do.
I needed to know that despite me, God has a grand purpose for me...and that's a huge relief to this God-needing, messy pile of DNA!
