DON'T RUSH IT
Today's reading: Acts 25-26
"Agrippa interrupted him, Do you think you can make me a Christian so quickly?" Acts 26:28 NLT
Maybe I am more like Paul than I'd ever hoped.
I'd like to convince someone of the fact of God and their need for Him in one conversation.
I'd like to pray the salvation prayer with any stranger I meet.
I'd like to stop the goings-on of the day at the drop of a hat to explain Christianity to someone, them fall madly in love with the concept of it--and have a verse of Amazing Grace and a good ole Baptist handshake, all within a span of, oh say, thirty minutes.
But I need to remember, as Paul was reminded, the real work is the work of the Holy Spirit on one's heart.
Oh, don't think I need to stop talking about it--I don't. I just need to remember that it's not me doing it, but the Lord!
