PRE-PRODUCTION PERIOD
Today's reading:  James 1-3

"Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy."  James 1:2 NLT

Really, James?  Pushing it a little, aren't you?

I realize 'what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger', but to rejoice when tough times and hardships fall into our laps--really?

Focus on what we'll profit from them?

Take a positive outlook?

Anticipate the harvest we'll reap and the joys that will be produced?

Trust that God knows just what He's doing to make us more and more like His Son?

Oh, with that being said, you probably have something going there.

I do want to be more like Jesus.  I want to see His attributes shining more brightly in my day.  I, and those around me, need me to love more like He loves.

Okay, I'm changing my thinking on what troubles bring to my life.  I am looking forward to be filled with joy--and until it gets here, I'm just in my pre-production period!
