MY DEFENDER
Today's reading: Job 17-18

"You must defend my innocence, O God, since no one else will stand up for me." Job 17:3 NLT

My Safeguard. My Shield.

Do I deserve Your care, Your love, Your support or Your grace? No.

All I had to offer was laid before You and I came up sorely lacking. And yet, You chose to accept me, forgive me and cleanse me.

The innocence I can claim comes completely from You.

No one else would have spared the time of day, let alone their Only Son.

No other Sacrifice could have covered the sins I had committed and the ones I was sure to commit.

No other name, but the name of Jesus!
