SOMEONE LIKE ME

Today's reading: Daniel 9-12

"How can someone like me, your servant, talk to you, my lord? My strength is gone, and I can hardly breathe. Then the one who looked like a man touched me again, and I felt my strength returning. Don't be afraid, he said, for you are deeply loved by God. Be at peace; take heart and be strong!" Daniel 10:17-19 NLT

How can someone like me talk to you, Lord?

I don't deserve to be in Your presence. I don't begin to think You owe me a thing.

I feel Daniel's exhaustion, desperation and depletion as he is approached by You--it takes my breath away!

The truth is it's at that exact moment, feeling those exact feelings, humbled to that exact position is where You do your best work in us!

I don't know why or how You can do anything with someone like me--but I'm here, bowed before You, asking that You do what You, and only You, can do!
