THEN I AM STRONG
Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 11-13
"Since I know it is all for Christ's good, I am quite content with my weaknesses and with insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:10 NLT
Have you ever prayed for weakness? For insults? Hardships? Or calamities?
Have you ever stopped and asked God to show the world what a basket case you are? How untogether you truly are? How much of a mess you are?
Maybe it's time we prayed that exact prayer.
Lord, show the world how undone I am--so they can see how very good You are!
We have a tendency to want to walk around in our 'Sunday selves', done up, made up, cleaned up and straightened up...but that's not what the world needs to see.
They need to see Jesus.
In us.
On us.
Through us.
All over us.
Shining through the cracks in our character. Flowing from the holes in our self-control. Beaming from the chinks in our self-made armor.
Because when our weaknesses are on exhibition, our God and His grace are showcased!
