Today's reading: Psalm 84-86
"O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid." Psalm 86:5 NLT
Might I take a few liberties with this verse?
Oh, I'm not changing the wording...
Or the content...
Or the grammatical pauses...
Allow me to change the capitalization...
O Lord, you are SO good, SO ready to forgive, SO full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid.
O Lord, you are SO good, SO ready to forgive, SO full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid.
Isn't He just?
Isn't He SO good, SO forgiving and SO full of love?
For me, I have to stop and ponder the words of Scripture a little longer some days. I have to push aside any notion that the God of the Bible is just another person. I have to remind myself of Whom I am reading, of Whom it is referring to, of Whom is speaking to me through the pages of words.
Linger over a passage today. Stop long enough to reconsider it from the Holy Spirit's viewpoint. Don't just read your Bible, let it read you.
